Personal Choice® PPO plans
With Independence Blue Cross (IBX) Personal Choice PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans, you have the flexibility to see both in-network and out-of-network providers. A PPO health plan allows you to save money by choosing in-network doctors and hospitals while still giving you the option to see out-of-network providers at a higher cost. Unlike some other plans, referrals are not required, allowing you to visit any specialist. Plus, with in-network coverage across the U.S. through the BlueCard® PPO network, you'll have access to one of the largest networks of doctors and hospitals in the country.
