Reetika Kumar, M.D., FACP Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Product, Clinical Solutions, and Pharmacy Services Officer

Dr. Kumar manages full accountability for pharmacy profit and loss, pharmacy clinical programs, and pharmacy sales and product development. This includes oversight of work related to the organization’s partnership with its pharmacy benefits manager. In addition, she oversees the delivery of health care services for self-funded and fully insured employer groups.

Dr. Kumar is an accomplished physician executive with expertise in the hospital and health care industries. With more than 14 years in managed care and 25 years as a board-certified physician, she is a trusted, sought-after speaker and an esteemed voice in the health care community. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a pivotal role in sharing critical information about vaccines, masking, and other safety protocols aimed at keeping people well.

Passionate about women empowerment, Dr. Kumar has participated for several years in the Pennsylvania Conference for Women as a speaker and panelist. She is the executive sponsor for the IBX associate resource group Women of Independence, and gladly shares her experience and knowledge by mentoring many colleagues.

Dr. Kumar joined IBX in 2017 and in 2020 took on the role as Market Medical Executive and vice president of Clinical Solutions. Prior to that, she served as vice president of Clinical Services for AmeriHealth Administrators and Chief Clinical Officer at Jefferson Health Plans.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of CHIEF, a leading professional network for women executives. She also serves on the boards of POWER for Professional Women and the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health as well as the grant advisory committee for Fred’s Footsteps.

Dr. Kumar completed her internal medicine residency training at Johns Hopkins University.
