Paul Staudenmeier Senior Vice President, Total Value Contracting and Reimbursement
Paul Staudenmeier is senior vice president of Total Value Contracting and Reimbursement at Independence Blue Cross (Independence). He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic reimbursement methodologies and innovative provider pay-for-performance programs that support value-based health care. He also leads provider contracting and reimbursement for Independence’s affiliates as well as oversight for Independence’s clinical vendor contracts.
Mr. Staudenmeier joined Independence in 2014. He brings more than 30 years of contracting and provider network management experience in U.S. and international health insurance and managed care companies. Prior to joining Independence, he held senior executive roles at AmeriHealth Caritas, Bravo Health, Aetna, and US Healthcare.
Mr. Staudenmeier serves on the Board of Directors of Angel Flight East, which provides free air transportation for passengers in need of medical treatment far from home.
He received his MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
