Changes Coming July 1, 2025

All Independence Blue Cross (IBX) members will receive a new member ID number by July 1, 2025. Members should destroy their old member ID card and use the new card beginning July 1, 2025. Please note that each person in an account will have a unique ID number, so each member’s card must be presented the first time they see a doctor or fill a prescription. For more information, please review this Member ID Card Flyer. Please use the resources below to share information with your employees.

Attention:

  • If you have not used the Group Portal in the past 18 months, you should log in now to work through any issues prior to June 1.
  • Please make all July 1, 2025, open enrollment changes only between June 4 and June 6 to ensure elections are correctly processed.
  • If you have questions regarding the July 1 open enrollment, please join us on June 4 for two virtual group portal overview sessions:

Group Portal Access

As of June 4, you have access to our new Group Portal. The Group Portal provides all the capabilities you need to manage your membership, make enrollment updates, and pay invoices through our updated electronic billing system, which will improve efficiency and accuracy with invoicing and tracking payments.

Your username and password will be transferred to the new system, so all you have to do is accept the updated Terms & Conditions. Please use the resources below to get up to speed.
