
Ginger BBQ SandwichesServes 6
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 1/2 pounds ground bison
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 – 6 whole-grain rolls
Directions
Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté for 2 – 4 minutes or until softened. Add the bison meat and cook for 6 – 8 minutes to brown. Add the BBQ sauce and vinegar and simmer on low heat for 8 – 10 minutes. Stir in the cilantro and serve on whole-grain rolls.
