Step 3: Find a doctor or pharmacy

Use our online search tool to find doctors, hospitals, and other health care facilities that participate in your plan's network.

Find a Medicare Advantage provider

Find a non-Medicare provider

Choose your primary care provider

HMO and HMO-POS members

Your plan requires you to choose an in-network primary care provider (PCP) to manage your general health needs. Log in at ibx.com/login to choose or change your PCP. You'll get a new member ID card with your PCP's info in 7 to 10 business days.

Keystone HMO Proactive members

You can choose providers from three tiers in our network. You pay the lowest out-of-pocket costs when you choose providers in Tier 1 - Preferred. If you have an HMO Proactive plan, your member ID card includes this information and lists your out-of-pocket costs for common services by tier. Use the Find a Doctor tool at ibx.com/login and select HMO Proactive as your plan to search for a PCP by tier.

Members of other plans

You aren't required to select a PCP, but it's still a good idea. To choose or change your PCP, register or log in at ibx.com/login.

Step 4: Know your options for care

When you need care, you should see your PCP first, because they have the most complete picture of your medical history. If they're unavailable and you need immediate medical attention, you can go to:

  • Retail health clinics
  • Urgent care centers
  • Telemedicine (if your plan includes it)

Step 5: Understand your member ID card

Your member ID card has important info for you and your doctors.

  • Always show your card to doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers whenever you receive care.
  • If you get a new card before your plan year starts, use your old card until the new year begins.
  • When your new plan year starts, you can destroy your current card and start using the new one you received.
  • Show your card to the pharmacist if you have prescription coverage.

Medicare Advantage members: Show your member ID to your IBX Medicare Dental Network dentist, Davis Vision provider, and TruHearing® provider to receive your dental, vision, and hearing benefits.
