IBC’s Corporate Volunteer Program

The Blue Crew Corporate Volunteer Program is a comprehensive outreach program that serves as an extension of the Independence Blue Cross social mission. Its mission is to strengthen our company’s role as a leader in community service through service projects that contribute to the well-being of the people in our region.

In 2007, more than 2,420 Blue Crew volunteers donated more than 6,766 hours of community service by supporting 132 projects. The events include both one-time and ongoing activities.

Through the Blue Crew, volunteers have the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and demonstrate their civic and company pride. We are proud of our employee volunteers and pleased that we can support our community through this charitable program.
