Interactive Voice Response (IVR)Member eligibility information available quickly and efficientlyYou can now take advantage of our speech-enabled interactive voice response (IVR) system, an enhanced automated phone service formerly known as the Member Eligibility Line (MEL). IVR allows you to speak into the phone when prompted in order to receive member eligibility information for your HMO/POS and PPO members. Within minutes, you can obtain the member’s eligibility information without waiting on hold to speak to a service representative. You can also use the IVR system to check claims status, referral submission, OB/GYN referral submission, encounter submission, and referral and authorization status inquiries. You can access the IVR 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 1-866-681-7370. The IVR system can also fax requested information to your office. As a reminder, eligibility information is also available for all members online through NaviNet®.
