The site was launched last year, and several of the stories were profiled in the Sports section of the Philadelphia Daily News. Participants in the Blue Cross Broad Street Run are encouraged to submit their stories and photos by visiting www.ibx.com/runningstories. Stories can focus on any aspect of running and the race, such as what motivates runners, running challenges, favorite racing moments, and personal training tips. In addition, the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) website offers information to eligible members who finish the race about how to receive credit for 10 gym visits, good towards the company’s $150 Healthy Lifestyles fitness reimbursement.
