Lead IDS Reimbursement Analyst

Location: 1901 Market Street

We currently have an opportunity for a Lead IDS Reimbursement Analyst in our conveniently located Center City Philadelphia location. The Analyst will be responsible for performing complex provider reimbursement and contracting analyses to support Independence Blue Cross contractual relationships with integrated delivery systems.

Responsibilities:

• Represents IBC in contract management and negotiation activities.
• Works closely with provider contracting to translate reimbursement financial models into contractual language and rate exhibits.
• Utilizing understanding of reimbursement methodologies and trends in managed care finance, participates in development of reimbursement and contracting strategies.
• Based on detailed analyses, creates actionable information that results in opportunities for improvement.
• Provides professional and technical assistance to internal and external customers (i.e., interpretation of regulations and contractual language, provider payment systems, etc).
• Represents or leads cross-functional teams and committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Management, Information Science, health-related field or equivalent work experience. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum seven plus years progressive business experience, preferably in managed care or provider enrollment. Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of managed care or Medicare reimbursement terms, concepts, and methodologies. Must have experience manipulating and analyzing claims data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be comfortable working with and presenting to all levels of management. Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Aptitude for detail-oriented work. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment required. Advanced experience in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Additional experience with advanced analytical applications considered a plus. Knowledge of MHS, Philprov, CDW, and IBC datamarts preferred.
