Standard Option is a preferred provider organization (PPO) plan. When you have Standard Option, you can receive benefits for covered services performed by providers whether they are in or out of network. Out-of-pocket costs are lower when you use in-network providers.
Features of Blue Cross Standard Option PPO
- $20 copay for primary care physician office visits and $30 for specialist visits;
- $300 per person/$600 per family per calendar-year deductible for some services;
- emergency and inpatient hospital coverage;
- prescription drug coverage, including convenient and cost saving mail order pharmacy;
- no referrals required.
