Standard Option is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). When you have Blue Cross Standard Option PPO, you can receive benefits for covered services performed by providers both in and out of the network. However, your out-of-pocket costs will be lower when you use in-network providers.
Features of Blue Cross Standard Option PPO
- $20 office visit copays.
- $300 per person/$600 per family calendar year deductible for some services.
- Benefits apply for both preferred and non-preferred providers. Out-of-pocket costs are lower for in-network services.
- Standard Option also features both a preferred retail and a preferred mail service prescription drug program.
