Welcome to the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Open Season website — an introduction to your Blue plan options for 2010.
This year, you have two great great Blue Cross® Blue Shield® plans to choose from: Basic Option and Standard Option. Both are preferred provider plans or PPOs that have comprehensive health care benefits and a national network of doctors and hospitals.
Everything you need to enroll is right here, including all of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) brochures and a
side-by-side comparison flyer for you to download. You’ll also learn answers to many of your questions about your options and benefits by watching the video above. And, when you’re ready to choose your plan for 2010, you can complete your enrollment online.
Keystone Health Plan East members must choose a new health plan this Open Season or they will not have any medical coverage after December 31, 2009. Choose Basic Option or Standard Option with confidence. Roughly 4.5 million federal employees and their families trust Blue for health care coverage that includes office visits, emergency room treatments, maternity care, prescriptions, and much more.
All enrollment changes will be effective January 1, 2010. If you already have Standard Option or Basic Option and don’t want to make any changes, you don’t need to do a thing. Your current coverage will continue in 2010.
