IBC Exceeds 2011 Step Out Goals

Records were made to be broken and Team IBC proved that this year. Not only did IBC exceed the company goals of 400 walkers and $40,000 raised — the Team IBC numbers were the best ever with more $48,000 raised (including a $10,000 company match), 476 registered walkers, and 37 teams.

Team IBC joined 333 other corporate, community, and family teams for the Step Out walk. IBC Executive Vice President and President Commercial Markets Chris Cashman joined Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Pennsylvania Senator Anthony Williams, tennis legend Billie Jean King, and NBC-10 television personality Lori Wilson on stage for a rousing and heartfelt opening ceremony. The ceremony concluded with an energetic warm-up from IBX Healthy Steps spokesperson and Team IBC Champion, Kimberly Garrison.

Since 2008, Team IBC has raised nearly $150,000 to help the American Diabetes Association (ADA) provide community education programs and fund critical research projects to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Live Healthier Today!

The truth is, many people who are suffering from, or are at risk of developing, diabetes can overcome this disease and avoid serious complications by taking better care of themselves right now!

Many IBC members can even receive education and reimbursements for healthy behavior through our Healthy LifestylesSM programs. IBC also supports members suffering from diabetes and other chronic conditions through the ConnectionsSM Health Management Programs.

Join in the Fight Against Diabetes

IBC is committed to enhancing the health and wellness of our people and our community. Together with the American Diabetes Association, we remain committed to creating awareness about the potential risks for diabetes, how to prevent the disease, and for those who have been diagnosed, how to better manage their condition and take steps to improve their health.

Programs such as Step Out can help you stay healthy and fit, and they provide vital funding for ADA programs focused on diabetes prevention and the potentially devastating effects of the disease.
