Our Customer Service telephone lines are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our walk-in service department, located at our headquarters, is open to our members Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

How can I apply for coverage if I do not have health insurance through my employer?
You can purchase health care insurance directly from Independence Blue Cross without belonging to a group plan. Whether you attend college, are retired, are self-employed, or are employed where no coverage is offered, you may qualify for an individual health plan.
Who is eligible to be covered under my contract?
Under our individual/direct pay coverage, you, your spouse, and dependent children (ages 19 and younger) are eligible for coverage. Members covered by an employer group may have different benefit plans available.
What are the billing arrangements if I pay you directly?
Arrangements can be made to pay your bill every one, two, or three months.
