Ensuring access to care

Greater access. To ensure members receive the care and services they need, we are:

  • Covering the cost of testing and related visits
  • Expanding access to primary care and specialists through telemedicine
  • Broadening emotional support through tele-behavioral health and digital tools

Supporting employers

Coverage for furloughed staff. To support you during this challenging time, we are honoring requests to continue coverage for employees who are furloughed or temporarily laid off.

Offering premium relief. Customers who are unable to pay their premium may temporarily pay by credit card using our eBill system through Dec. 31, 2020. For businesses experiencing extreme hardship, please contact your broker or account representative to discuss options. Brokers should log in to the Sales Portal for more information.

Small business loans. For business loan and grant information, visit The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia website. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce also has many resources to guide small businesses.



Staying informed

Legislative updates. Independence is working closely with state and federal agencies to understand new and pending legislation related to COVID-19 and how it affects your business and health coverage. Check out this summary of the current legislation.
