Our Customer Service telephone lines are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our walk-in service department at 1900 Market Street (near the corner of 20th & Market Streets), is open to our members Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How can I get Independence Blue Cross coverage if I do not have health insurance through my employer?
You can purchase health care insurance directly from Independence Blue Cross without belonging to a group plan. Whether you are a college student, retiree, or self-employed, or your employer does not offer health benefits, you may qualify for an individual health plan.

Who is eligible to be covered under my contract?
Under our individual/direct-pay coverage, you, your spouse, and your dependent children (under age 26) are eligible for coverage. Members covered by an employer group may have different benefit plans available.
