Independence Blue Cross brings mobile interactive health care reform education to the region

Events planned for Wayne, Swarthmore & Center City Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA - September 21, 2013 - At IBC, consumer education and engagement around health care reform is essential. That’s why we created the Independence Express, a mobile education and retail health care experience, which will be traveling to community events throughout the region to help consumers understand the important changes coming in October.

IBC’s mobile education center, Independence Express:

  • Web-capable, ADA compliant truck: outfitted with laptops and iPads — and fully staffed with knowledgeable health care reform experts.
  • The Independence IQ game show: designed to test consumers’ knowledge about the Affordable Care Act, while providing answers, in a fun and entertaining format. Complete with participant prizes and a game show host!
  • The Live Fearless photo experience: gives participants a chance to “fly high over Philadelphia” or “row a boat on the Schuylkill River.”

Plus, the Philadelphia Union inflatable soccer field where kids can play in teams against each other in timed rotations.
