Independence Blue Cross reminds members to carry member card/ID during Hurricane Sandy
Philadelphia, PA - October 29, 2012 - As Hurricane Sandy bears down on our region, Independence Blue Cross encourages members who are evacuated or move from storm affected areas to take with them their IBC member cards and government-issued photo identification. This will ensure that any member can access medical care quickly and without confusion during the storm. Heavy rain, high winds, and possible flooding are expected through Tuesday, October 30.
Those who have been evacuated from their homes may not have access to their usual physicians and pharmacies. Any member who needs medical assistance is encouraged to seek help at the nearest medical facility and anyone experiencing an emergency is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
