EligibilityNursing Internship ProgramEach program is open to undergraduate nursing students who have completed at least one clinical rotation prior to June 7, 2010 AND who currently attend an accredited nursing program in southeastern Pennsylvania supported by the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Nurse Scholars Program. View the list of nursing programs If you are selected to participate, you must be available for the entire ten-week internship program beginning Monday, June 7 through Friday, August 13, 2010. You will not be considered for this internship program if you are enrolled in summer day classes or have a week(s) vacation scheduled during this timeframe. This is a paid, temporary position, Monday – Friday. Hours of operation may vary for community health center clinic internship assignments. Students who meet the eligibility criteria may apply for one or both nursing internship programs offered by IBC. If applying for both opportunities, please indicate order of assigned preference (at IBC or at a Clinic). Please note that the deadline to apply was February 28, 2010. We will match student resumes and essays with the internship requests submitted by IBC Health Services management and the health clinics. Students selected by the requesting manager or clinic will be scheduled for an interview. If extended an offer to be an student nurse intern, students must follow the IBC hiring process, which includes pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. |
