Members Get Generic Drugs for Chronic Conditions at No Cost

As you may be aware, chronic conditions, left unattended, can lead to poor health and affect quality of life. From July 1 through December 31, 2008, our new member incentive program, Rx for Better Health, will waive copays on 75 generic drugs to allow members easier access to the drugs they need to stay healthy and avoid preventable consequences like unnecessary hospitalizations and visits to the ER. The 75 drugs included in the Rx for Better Health program have been identified as those most commonly used to treat chronic conditions such as:

• high blood pressure
• high cholesterol
• diabetes
• depression
• acid reflux
• heart failure
• heart disease
