IS Project Leader

Location: 1901 Market Street

We currently have an opportunity in our conveniently located Center City Philadelphia location for an IS Project Leader. The Project Leader will be responsible for managing the team and is responsible for requirements gathering, planning, and facilitating of discussions, organizing teams, Change Management, and implementation of the enterprise-wide Test Environments (Test and QA).

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the hardware, software, database instances, regions, and appropriate data synchronizations and refresh activities to allow for collaborative testing and mitigation of contention around test activities.
  • Consistently monitoring, assessing and analyzing test environment (Test and QA) activities (in progress and planned) to proactively provide input, guidance, and recommendations dealing with scheduling, capacity planning, load leveling, activity collisions, mitigation of contention and upgrade or expansion of environments to QA, Test, Development, PMO, and Business Teams, Stakeholders, Corporate Business Sponsors and Senior Management.
  • Able to work collaboratively with, and provide input to, all appropriate levels and areas of management to ensure test environments can be effectively utilized within the appropriate scope and timelines technology and business partners requirements for their efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, computer related field, or equivalent work experience. Eight to ten years of prior information technology experience with a concentration of that experience in a Technical Architecture or Development related capacity. Proven supervisory experience. Experience in information or systems architectural methodologies, design and analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth understanding of layered solutions and designs; shared software, data and database concepts, requirements, and technology trends. Expertise in multiple platforms/protocols/environments with a solid understanding of architecture (networks, applications, data, technology, OS, etc). Solid understanding of environment usage and activity monitoring via applicable utilities, tools, and metrics. Solid understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, MSSQL) and Information Management is required. Knowledgeable in software engineering languages, tools, as well as current and emerging shared services utilities. In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies; diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles. Expert analytical, interpersonal consultative, and communication (both oral and written) skills and the ability to work effectively with IT and Business management, teams, and staff. Highly developed negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills. Applied experience crafting a broad range of solutions roadmap for potential technical futures. Expert in writing technical design specifications that meet the business goals and objectives. Skilled in project or milestone planning and delivery; coaching and mentoring technical staff. Able to demonstrate individual and team successes for solving difficult problems through process and technology from a technical design perspective.
