Thank you for choosing the Independence Blue Cross & Highmark® Blue Shield Caring Foundation as the administrator of your child’s CHIP coverage. Children enrolled in CHIP receive health insurance benefits through Keystone Health Plan East HMO.

CHIP Benefits Handbook
The CHIP Benefits Handbook provides information on:
- your child’s benefits;
- the recommended childhood immunization schedule;
- changing your child’s primary care physician (PCP);
- your child’s ID card;
- your child’s annual renewal;
- how to get a referral for a specialist;
- how to get a standing referral;
- direct access to obstetrical/gynecological care for female members;
- paying your child’s low-cost premium payment;
- the grievance process.

Wellness Programs
Our Healthy LifestylesSM programs are designed to educate and encourage healthy behavior through active participation. Whether you want to enroll in one of our Healthy Lifestyles programs such as fitness, smoking cessation, or weight management, or get help managing a chronic health condition, our innovative wellness programs help educate and encourage healthy behavior.
