When should I use the emergency room?
Seek treatment at a hospital emergency room for life-threatening medical situations including:
- severe shortness of breath or chest pain;
- sudden or unexplained loss of consciousness;
- sudden, severe abdominal pain;
- cut or wound that won’t stop bleeding.
