Interpreter Services
The Caring Foundation interpreter services can help you
if you need assistance communicating with a health care
provider because you are unable to speak or understand
English, or have a hearing impairment.
The Foundation offers adultBasic members interpreter
services covering 66 different languages and dialects,
as well as Certified Deaf Interpreters who translate American
Sign Language. All interpreter services are provided at
no cost to members and patient confidentiality is assured.
There are two ways to request an interpreter:
- Primary care providers or family physicians may call
Keystone’s patient care management department to make
arrangements to provide interpreter services for an
adultBasic member.
- An adultBasic member may call 1-800-464-5437 directly
to schedule interpreter services for their doctor visit.
Requests should be made at least two weeks before the
doctor’s appointment.
To offer members quality service, the Foundation also
has multilingual staff members, telephone language line
services, and TDD (215-241-2622) for the deaf or hearing
impaired.
