Funding
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)1

Employers fund the account through the year. Independence Blue Cross's BlueSaver FSA gives employers flexibility in cash flow. Simply deposit a percentage of the FSA elections and then add more as employees use their funds. FSA funds may not be carried over from year to year, so any remaining funds revert back to the employer after the claims filing deadline.

Reimbursement checks are drawn on our FSA administrator's bank account. All funds are deposited into this bank account, and all claims are paid out of this bank account. Reimbursement checks are issued on Independence Blue Cross check stock.
