IBC's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Richard Snyder speaks at two health conferences

Philadelphia, PA - March 13, 2014 - Independence Blue Cross (IBC) chief medical officer Richard L. Snyder, M.D and nationally known expert on patient centered care, is speaking at two upcoming health conferences in Philadelphia/here, addressing some of the key issues in health care including patient centered medical homes and the value of coordinated primary care and encouraging more informed and engaged patients to manage their care. These conferences attract a diverse group of business and health leaders including employers, health plans, practicing physicians and hospital executives, and government agencies, all with the common goal of transforming health care in the United States.

Dr. Snyder discusses what factors drive a primary care practice in the transformation to a medical home, including economic incentives, program design and increased patient and physician satisfaction.
