From Philly to Boston with Love
Show your support! “From Philly to Boston with Love” is a region-wide initiative to show unified support and garner donations for those affected by the tragic events at the Boston Marathon. Runners and volunteers at the Blue Cross Broad Street Run wore special stickers over their hearts as a symbol of support.
Donations can be made to The One Fund Boston.
Blue Cross Broad Street Run
The 34th annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run took place on Sunday, May 5, 2013. For more information about race details, visit www.broadstreetrun.com.
As our region's leading health insurer, Independence Blue Cross is committed to enhancing the health and wellness of the people and communities we serve. We are proud to be the title sponsor of the Blue Cross Broad Street Run, the largest 10–miler in the country, for the past 17 years.
The run is a tribute to the generosity of our community in support of the American Cancer Society. Runners start at Broad Street and Somerville Avenue in North Philadelphia and run south past landmarks like Temple University, City Hall, and the Sports Complex. They cross the finish line in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
